Now you are Christ’s Body, and individually parts of it. (From 1 Corinthians 12)
You are Christ’s Body! And so is your enemy, the one you make fun of, the one you’re sarcastic towards, the one who votes differently than you, the one who is always seeking attention through bragging and promoting their good deeds, the one who wears a mask, the one who refuses to wear a mask, the one who looks differently than you, the one who thinks differently than you, the one who goes to a different church than you, the one from a different country, the one on death row, the one who has sought to do you harm, and so on. Since all are members of Christ, all deserve our love and respect and compassion and our care! Since we are Christ’s Body here on earth, we better start acting like it by doing the things he did for us—serving others, praying for others, feeding the hungry, loving all, inviting all to the Father, laying down our lives for our friends and the LORD, seeking to do what is right and not what is popular or gains us the most earthly and individual glory, and by welcoming ALL regardless of their past and origins! WE are the Body of Christ, my sisters and brothers, so let us love and serve just as he loved and served us ALL! Amen!
